Henry Le Châtelier (1850-1936) professor in physics and chemistry

Henry Le Châtelier was a French professor nature and chemistry in Paris. He was internationally known for his many physicochemical research of steel and cement. His theory about the setting and hardening of cement brought him notoriety. He also co-invented a test for testing cement and its shape restraint, called the test of Le Châtelier. This test is described in the standard N 494 (Netherlands) and NBN 178-32 (Belgium).
