Richard Joseph Neutra (1892-1970) Architect

Richard Neutra was an Austrian architect. He was from 1921 associated with Erich Mendelsohn and won with him in 1922 the first prize for building a business center in Jaffa (Palestine). In 1923 he went to America where he represented the new building. He held many senior positions such as the National Committee for the consideration of the school building. In his later years he became a respected man field of education. He also campaigned for better housing.

Adolf Loos (1870-1933) Architect

Adolf Loos was an Austrian architect. He worked from 1893-1897 in America, then from 1898-1913 in Vienna and from 1924-1928 in Paris. As an innovator in architecture, he had a major influence in building Austrian buildings. He worked for a practical and simple construction. He was against ornaments. His work therein against excels by the choice of the material and by the proper proportions.

Hans Hofmann (1897-1957) building engineer

Hans Hofmann was a Swiss engineer. He had since 1925 an independent agency in Zurich, from 1928 he collaborated with Adolf Keller Muller. From 1941 he was a professor at the E.T.H. in Zurich. Hans Hofmann was honored with another doctoration from the University of Zurich.

Josef Hoffmann (1870-1956) Architect

Josef Hoffmann was an Austrian architect. He was a student of Otto Wagner and representative of the New Direction in Austrian architecture. His works were characterized by cool professionalism that is especially evident in his houses. With its strict construction, usually he applyed many detail, especially in color and very vivid decorations. As leader of the "Wiener Werkstätte" he had a great influence on the development of handicrafts.

Emil von Förster (1835-1909) Architect

Emil von stockier was an Austrian architect. His works have mainly Baroque features.

Ferdinand Fellner der Jüngere (1847-1916) Architect

Ferdinand Fellner was an Austrian architect. He was best known in the field of theater construction. In his early career his style was typified by the use of the Italian Renaissance. Later he switched gradually over to Baroque and Rocco. Not only in Austria but also outside Austria there are many theaters designed by Ferdinand Fellner and Herman Helmer. Ferdinand Fellner also designed houses in Vienna and Budapest.

Baumann was an Austrian architect from the beginning of the 20th century. In many of his building has visible Baroque influence.
